I got introduced to politics and statecraft by my family while my age was still in the single digits, so for us, it's pretty much "business as usual"; progress will go on, but the Democrats won't be tying more safety valves down for a while. If I'm back upstate with the "people I belong to", we might hoist a beer or two -- but that's about all, and that's enough!
And the only "contest" I'll be watching this weekend is Penn State vs. Wisconsin.

Nobody cares about California. Once the illegal flow is shut down, the left wing extremists won't be able to guarantee even California in a national election. I'd start thinking about a new party if I were you. The Democrats are obsolete, a fringe party that is relegated to the coasts and large urban centers.
