I think Donald Trump got this idea from Bill Clinton and used it against Hillary Clinton.

Most likely it was the fact that Robby Mook has apparently never stepped outside the NYC, SF bubbles to see what real USA is all about. They let the broken polling, past history, and the fact they thought they were smarter than everyone else guide their strategy, and it failed spectacularly. $1.2 Billion burned and nothing to show for it.

So now we get recounts & stories about Russians.

I agree with this analysis 100%.

The bottom line is that Mook and others on the far-left believed the b.s. that changing demographics and the blue wall would guarantee the Democrats victory in every presidential election until the end of time. This complacent attitude blinded the Clinton campaign from realizing just how important the white working class was to past Democratic victories (including Obama's 2008 & 2012 wins).

The most important lesson (for people on either side of the political divide) to be learned from this election is that having a conceited attitude can be fatal.

I am wondering the same thing. I get the impression he'd be just as happy with the Clinton foundation and some more flights on the Lolita express.

Looks now, that if they had listened to Bubba, she might be President-Elect.

Well, everyone always said that Bill Clinton had superlative grasp of politics.

That's the problem with Democrats--it's never their message that's wrong. It's just strategy that needs "adjusting."

On the one hand, you can't help feeling at least a little bit sorry for Bill.

All he ever wanted to do was get back in the White House, and Hilary was his only shot at it. He hung with that shrill, coldblooded biotch over 25 years, thinking that if he just stuck it out, he'd be back home - only this time, just a part-time, assistant president. He could spend most of the day stretched out on the leather couch in the first lady's office, surfing porn sites and mastering his puppet with all the drapes pulled down, and nobody would bother him - hell, nobody'd even come huntin' him up, most of the time. They'd mostly be grateful for the opportunity to not have to deal with him.

But, every now and then.... maybe every day or two, the kids would find themselves in over their heads, and they'd call on him to come and help out. So, he'd get to sit near the head of the conference table again, reminiscing about how he used to handle that stuff back when he was The Man, and everyone would roll their eyes and check their watches and wait for him to get to the point, but he'd get to the point when he damned well felt like it. And for however long he held forth, he would be the Master, the Expert, the Alpha Dog, the Silverback - the Elder Statesman, the Voice of Experience.

And, every week or two they'd let him get interviewed on TV, and he'd smile warmly and shake his finger or whatever, and daydream about all the teenage girls watching the evening news who wanted desperately to see him smile at them that way while his head was resting on their pillow.

But it never turned out that way.

He did his ten years serving under Hillary, but when it was time for his sentence to be commuted, there was nothing waiting for him. For the first time in his life, he has to deal with the realization this is it - the part of his life that mattered to him is forever over; as high as he flew 20 years ago, he'll never soar that high again. He simply no longer has the wings, and he never will again. All he has now is.... well.... Hillary.

Even if you don't like the man, you have to agree there's a sadness to it.

^Interesting view of it. I wouldn't feel too sad about it.

By keep Hillary in the US Senate for 8 years, her amazing appointment by Obama as Sec of State, then absolute guarantees that she would be US President, the Clintons went from being broke in 2000 to, multi-millionaires now. This without employing a single person beyond some kitchen help, without producing a service that society wants or needs, or running any sort of real business.

Essentially Bill Clinton whored out his estrange wife for government favors and they got insanely rich over it. Of course she was a very willing partner. I'm fascinated by the adults of the world who were perfectly find with this and fight tooth & nail to keep them in this position.

Run as a democrat, campaign as a Republican is how got Bill in the Oval Office.

Generally most democrats have to do it in every public election. After campaigning from the right, they abandon that and govern from the left. It's their tried and true method.

But things are different now. The future political landscape will be interesting to say the least.

My hope is for true conservative values to build in favor.

Right? The DNC lost with an expired cryptkeeper and a pedo VP running with some Jews pulling the strings, so let's just jam in a black Muslim dude who probably only a few percent of the population can identify with as our party's face after alienating straight white men and their spouses and...profit?
