Props to his campaign manger. I think the strategy of keeping national democratic leaders at bay is working. After Trumps win old school DNC regulars said all they have to do is force close elections in local races were Republicans feel safe. These tight races weaken the president. Alabama is supposed to be a walk in the park for for the GOP.
