De Leon and Ricardo Lara have written every single pro-illegal law passed in California in the past few years. De Leon is also anti-school choice (as he came into politics via the CTA and NEA). He is as devoted to the religion of intersectionality as any southern politician is to fundamentalist Christianity.
He would be a truly horrendous choice, competing with Chelsea Manning in MD for the honor of worst Dem US Senate candidate this year.
Too bad the Republican Senate candidates are a pack of unknowns.
I find this surprising, and concerning. I think what it means, is that the Repubs will run over him like a steamroller. Once again, the Dems have made a poor choice, when they should be strengthening the Party, in preparation for the next Presidential slugfest. They need to do a much better job of fostering leadership. And the Clinton machine's favored candidate for Pres. is Kamala Harris?! ***sighhhhh***
Everything De León is proposing or has already done is taking CA in the wrong direction .
He has a sick hatred of Trump that he doesn’t even try to hide . I don’t like when he talks about “our values “ . Being pro illegal immigration and open borders was never a value of the Democratic Party historically . Far left and radical views aren’t American values .
Feinstein is definitely the more rational and obviously experienced one . Democratic Party seems to have a real lack of judgement in CA these days .

Kevin De Leon isn't going to win anyway, I'm not even sure Newsom is a lock anymore since he failed to get the CA Democrat parties support as well.
