We live in a Banana Republic when Government Officials/Agencies use their power to infect/effect Political Outcome of Elections. They use their power against the People and the VOTE.
In most Banana Republics, they use the Military against the People and a Free Vote.
It's pretty much the same thing when Intelligence Agencies and Judges involve themselves in Politics.
When Hillary can get away with destroying govt emails, using Bleachbit on her hard drive and is not already in jail, yes we live in a banana republic. NO ONE who does not have something to hide would Bleachbit their hard drive, that they were not throwing out in the trash, that alone means guilt, not to mention all the other things she had done and has not be prosecuted for yet.

Hillary keeps giving speeches, Pelosi keeps raising money, fair and intelligent judge nominees are blocked, efforts to control illegal immigration are blocked, free speech is prevented at major campuses, and worst of all, about 49% of the population of America sympathizes with the Party of The Donkey.
No. There will always be Democrats in office, just as surely there will always be Democrats in jail. The problem is, the ones in jail are nearly always released at some point.
