Admittedly it may be due to my own political leanings, but I find it hilarious how conservatives claim that the Democrats have veered far to the left when their own party has deserted the center for the extreme right.

Pot calling kettle?

Default There Really Are No Democrats

How can one possibly explain what increasingly appears to be the progressive left’s growing descent into madness?"

It is scary when the leaders call for violence.

It's also tragic. Jack Kennedy would never stand for the disgusting behavior of today's left wing. The extremists will spell the end of the Democrat Party, and for that, it will never recover from its present state. I predict the party's closure within ten years. You're seeing a lot of professed Dems leave the party because they don't want to be associated with the baggage you see today among the left. Many who are still in the party (those who are actually leading it) have no moral or ethical inkling to speak of when it comes to serving their country. That's the problem: They're not really serving you. The only thing they have left is to impugn others who don't think and act like they do, because they really can't win elections (not fairly, anyway) and they are without a positive message.

And how about the opposite point of view?

I know of no Democrats wondering what on Earth has possessed their party. However, most of us are wondering what has possessed the Republicans, once a staid, cautious, dignified, traditional party, to embrace an unhinged, crude demagogue.

And, yes, it's scary when leaders call for violence. Do you remember all the times that Trump has done that? Do you remember when Trump told his supporters to "knock the crap" out of Hillary supporters? Do you remember when he supported the racist rampage in Charlottesville? Do you remember when he started threatening nuclear war, out of the blue?

Right leaning Republicans just want the Constitution to be followed, and matter. The Progressive Left (Democrats) want to constantly Social Engineer to right perceived wrongs, and are dictating control freaks that want to ban everything, be PC, and constantly Virtue Signal.

To be honest, the right has only to look in the mirror for the rise of the progressive left. Democrats have been centrist for years, while the Republicans have yanked the center ever further to the right. Democrats have tried to be conciliatory but to no avail. No matter what any Democrat does they’ll be accused of being “radical”, “socialist”, a “far left loon”. Well guess what? Now the chickens are coming home to roost. You cry wolf enough times, eventually, the wolf comes knockin’ at your door and no one will believe you.

We’re in a new age baby, get ready.
Relative to the middle class, the Democrats are engaged in a strategy that diverges them further and further from the middle class - pandering to identity politics being the most obvious, but also pandering to low income voters, pro-globalization, pro-illegal immigration, pro-big business outsourcing and offshoring, pro-big banks.

If you think that the Democrats are centrist, then you must have moved far left.

Because Trump is tackling the three things that matter most: bringing jobs back, stopping illegals from stealing Americans' jobs, ending bad trade deals.

Democrats are too busy with making sure that everyone gets the bathroom of their choice.

That's a blip compared to the jobs that are opening.

So what kind of job do you have that you are worried that an illegal immigrant who can’t speak a word of English will take away from you? Mostly they do maid and landscaping menial jobs.

We are losing jobs—15,000 jobs lost from GMC today.

Oh, and the trade deals and tariffs Trump is putting into effect are costing farmers big time and are raising the cost of imports from China for all of us. Think rises in prices at Walmart and Target, etc.

You are uninformed.

Sure, if that was YOUR job, you wouldn’t care if it went away. Think about folks who work in auto plants. Are they prepared to take another kind of job that would pay anywhere near what they were making. I doubt it.
