What does this mean? Is one accent...an act? If so, which one?

Of course it's an act. Many of us have been saying that ad nauseum. Her bygolly-geewhiz rhetoric is fake, too. This woman is manipulative and vicious. But she needed a persona to make her "adorable" to the base--and voila!

You're wack. She sounds the same as always. I personally never saw what people were talking about her having an "accent." I don't hear an accent. Maybe because I have lived in Kansas/Missouri all my life and her parents are from Missouri and maybe she has a Missouri "accent" and it sounds normal to me? Lots of people leave the "g" off and I don't consider that an accent, just the way people talk in some areas of the country.

I've noticed this a couple of times now. I really am starting to believe that it was a conscience decision to have her play up the folksy 'hackey mom' joe six pack personality. This amazes me. It seems like it would have been MUCH more effective to have her be herself. I've seen her speak in a very professional, intelligent manner before she was picked as a running mate. I just don't get it.

You people are SO sensitive that a discussion of her accent offends you? Man, she really is like a china doll to you isn't she?

Not really - this is good stuff.

Anyway, there may be a plausible explanation but we need to dig a bit more. I bet when she is possessed by a witch, the accent is different but one Mutheed by the witch doctor, the accent changes again. I do not know of evil witches can control "tongues". Hmmmm - any experts in this area?

I would *hope* that most Americans with the intelligence greater than a walnut would be able to see right through the Ned Flanders persona she had on the debates.
