And millions of people vote for American Idol contestants...therefore, whoever wins that is very important.

Actually I've been sitting here laughing because Wright was soo "old news" because it happened weeks ago and not open to be talked about, but a relationship from 20+ years ago from Republicans is fair game. Odd how that works..

LOL An intelligent reply?

From most republicans on this board we find that real issues are secondary and truth is subjective. Too much Karl Rove in your system. Take two aleve and call us in the morning.

Actually you need to reread your own posting because the story says nothing about Keating being found guilty on one single count. It also does say that McCain joined 4 other Democrats, which is more proof of his willingness to cross the party lines, (can the same be said of Obama), and while it says individuals from Arizon lost their life savings, I'm curious why the FDIC Insurance didnt apply.

In September 1990, Keating was criminally charged with having duped Lincoln's customers into buying worthless junk bonds of American Continental Corporation; he was convicted in state court in 1992 of fraud, racketeering, and conspiracy and received a 10 year prison sentence. In January 1993, a federal conviction followed, with a 12 and a half year sentence. He spent four and a half years in prison, but convictions were eventually overturned. Thereafter, on the eve of the retrial on the federal charges, Keating pled guilty to certain felony charges in return for a sentence of time served.

I don't think McCain will be bragging about crossing part lines to join one of the biggest examples of political corruption of our time. I can just envision that commercial now...

Ahh, the Charles Keating that happened so long ago, that he's out of prison? Again, why is this fair to bring up if The Obama stuff that happened in 2008 isnt?

p.s. isnt this the same S&L scandal the Clintons got all caught up in? Ahh, yep.. It wasnt fair to bring up then either, odd that it somehow is now..
