The right wing has been charging that the media is biased because the three major network news anchors accompanied Obama on his current trip overseas and ignored Sen. John McCain’s.

However, as is usually the case, there appears to be more to the story.. like in McCain actually didn't want reporters along. We can only guess as to why but just keep in mind McCain is extremely gaffe prone.

Yesterday during an interview on the UK’s Channel 4 News, NBC News anchor Brian Williams confirmed the report

Think Progress » NBC’s Williams confirms that McCain camp made no offer to cover McCain’s trip abroad. (video)

...or maybe McCain recognizes that he is not yet President, unlike Barrack "the Audacity of Arrogance" Obama

My guess is that it's disorganization and poor planning for the campaign staff.

Not relevant. Does Brian Williams look like he's lying on the video?

Wow 8.0 funnies. That's verging on O'Reilly-level humor there.

While we're at it we should post some more National Enquirer sources.

What about the Newsweek link, you don't like them either?

But there's a big difference between McCain's trip and the one Obama will embark on next week to Europe and the Middle East. In what could be interpreted now as a possible strategic misstep, the McCain campaign chose not to take reporters along for the ride, forcing media outlets who wanted to cover the newly elected GOP nominee to travel on their own without any guarantee of getting anywhere near the senator.

or perhaps mccain thinks of this as a presidential campaign, and obama views it as a circus. have you seen happy gilmore? remember when shooter mcgavin is just trying to play golf and all the idiot gilmore fans have beach balls bouncing everywhere? that's kind of what this reminds me of. too funny.
