You read it and you decide!
Obama not basing VP pick on geography - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/politico/20080727/pl_politico/12083 - broken link)

Obama made complimentary remarks about both Clintons, even breaking his self-imposed rule of not talking about his “short list” for vice president.

“Hillary Clinton would be on anybody’s short list,” he said. “She is one of the most effective, intelligent, courageous leaders that we have in the Democratic Party. … I would love to have Bill Clinton campaigning for me.”

Wow, since the McCain camp has already started getting dirty what difference will the Clinton's make. Man oh man what synergy!
Barack,Hillary and Bill. Now that is some energy whether you love it or not. Would certainly mean McCain would need to step up the energy flow on his side.

He knows that Hillery has a big following, so he needs to have them on his side.

Why doesn't she step up and show something resembling class? She should have been campaigning intensely for him a month ago. Bill too.

He doesn't need them. He can use them but on his terms and he is just about done setting those. He has taken the party and the convention over and is the only one with any money associated with the Democratic party. Thus she may now be able to come aboard on his terms with his people firmly in charge.
