I don't recall saying that, do you? I said that it was the last time germans got excited about a politician, and I was right.

No concert at Mile High Stadium that night. Unless Barack sings. Oh Lordy, please don't let that happen.

As one who wouldn't mind seeing his speech, the thought of him breaking into song sends shivers down my spine, in a bad way. Ugh

Well, at least one thing's for certain. He wouldn't be singing a Ludacris song.

Wow, if Mr. BaCrack under pressure Obama can pack stadiums at this rate how can we not vote for him? After all what's most important is his popularity, not how he'll run this country.

Of course they left out the little fact that 50% went to residents of CO and 15% went to western battleground states so in reality Obama sold less than 26,000 in a day. Only 15,000-20,000 requesta have come in from residents of CO wanting tickets that would be less than half of what has been reserved for them. Curses to that state who has not voted for a democrat in 40 years! Maybe they could give them away to the homeless!
Not so impressive anymore!
Tickets are already starting to show up on Ebay and Craigslist.
More than half of DNC seats to go to Colorado residents

LOL, interesting way to measure success. Like saying: The Rolling Stones sold out a concert in one day, but half those tickets went to people who live nearby so they don't count."

Nice try, though...

The Democrat's campaign receives more than 60,000 applications in 24 hours.

Colorado's tickets to see Barack Obama's acceptance speech at Invesco Field at Mile High were more than spoken for within about 24 hours, officials said, and the application process closed Thursday for all but those willing to be put on a waiting list. Obama's campaign set aside for Colorado half of the more than 60,000 seats available to the public for the final night of the Democratic National Convention. It turns out the battleground state could have filled the stadium, as the campaign ended applications after collecting more than 60,000 Thursday afternoon.

We had more than that when we had the Olympics. We are used to large crowds here.
