John McCain in one masterfull stroke is about to lessen the legacy of Hillary Clinton. By naming Sarah P to the ticket she is in position to become the first woman elected in either capacity and the prime candidate for the GOP in 2012 assuming McCain doesn't run again. Will it be woman vs woman? Which will have the greatest resume. Which one will have spent four years being called the most powerful woman in America? Sarah P of course. The Right in a stroke of genius is about to reduce the Hillary legacy to one paragraph in the history. Woman will be talking over the next couple of months about Sarah and not Hillary. The Right hates the name Clinton and in their strategic wisdom have struck back in a skillful way. What is Hillary to do? Sulk about her defeat? Remember we all have heard she didn't mean what she said at the convention? Could she still really want Obama to lose and put Sarah P in the history books ahead of her? Is she cheering Sarah on to be the one to break the glass ceiling and thus be known as the first? Only time will tell if her supporters will help bury her and uplift Sarah P.

Yea this will backfire on McCain because the staunch Hillary supporters will be jealous of the fact that someone like Palin could beat Hillary as being the first. They believe Hillary deserves the position more than Palin with her "lack of expereince" Add in the fact that Palin is not pro choice. The vast majarity of women democrats are pro choice.

So why would McCain think a pro choice Hillary supporter would vote for him even with Palin? Does he value woman intellectually or does he see them as emotional beings to be manipulated?

McCain might have lost anyway, but he just guaranteed his loss. People are either saying "Sarah Who" or "Sarah Who Cares"? A low-key, unknown woman from Alaska?! Does the man want to one-up Hillary more than he wants to be president?

It's Dan Quayle all over again... the wrong risk taken at the wrong time.

Elected not nominated, that being established what woman has been elected President or Vice President that would not make her the first?

Is reading such a loss skill in America?
