I think God kinda does what he wants. Remember Katrina? How many democraps died in the 9th ward, so do you really want to go there?

This time the Republicans are going to try and capitalize on this natural tragedy due to strike an already battered city by redeeming themselves for the Katrina debacle.

They are really walking a fine line here, as if they try and capitalize on it politically it will reveal their shameful nature and pandering, and if they dont do enough they will reveal their gross incompetence.

Hard to score points for the GOP but they will undoubtedly try

Just a day ago you all wanted there to be thousands of deaths and millions of dollars in damage to deflect the media away from the RNC. Why such a change.

Damn hypocrites!

Like alot of Republicans, you, sir, are a liar.

You've learned well from those you voted for.

I agree...I was gone for most of the day, so have been frantically trying to find posts where Democrats said they hope the citizens of New Orleans will suffer...haven't turned up.

Part of it was in reference to Michael Moore's comments that he hopes the hurricane strikes N.O. so the GOP convention will be disrupted. Take a look at that thread.

There have been NUMEROUS comments suggesting that this hurricane is a blessing becuase it will deflect attention from the RNC and put the focus on the tremendous loss of life and property.

Anybody who wants a hurricane to be disruptive KNOWS that they are not hoping for some weak hurricane that kills nobody and does no damage because then it wouldnt grab headlines. Instead, they are hoping for a devastating hurricane to deflect the attention from the Repubs.

Angry liberals like to be hateful. This whole debate just further proves my point.

Most of those commenting on this thread today were championing Michael Moore yesterday.

Oh...I thought the reply was about posters on this forum that are Democrats (or "Democrats" by default as Obama supporters). I didn't realize Michael Moore was a spokesperson for us all. (I think he is a blow hard)
