I think its an Omen that Hurrican Gustav seems to be interrupting the Republican convention. The republicans are using good intetioned Christians just to get elected in office. They bait them with pro-life and gay marriage only for these issue to be dropped once they get in office and then we see the same thing all over again. Terrible ecnomic policies, loss of jobs and then people ask themselves why did we vote that person into office?

At least this time NO is being evacuated. Unlike the first time.

It IS ironic that a hurricane targeting New Orleans is disrupting the GOP convention.

It reminds everyone of BUSH's ethnic cleansing there.

Bush caused it so he can give massive aid to survivors and look like a hero for the GOP so McCain wins....

I bet all the water that comes for them also includes a corvette.

Actually its a bonus, it means that McCain can continue to raise and spend as much money as he wants longer, not being tied down by campaign financing rules that limit spending after the convention.

I would be very surprised if Hurricane Gustav decimates St. Paul, Minnesota and the Republican Convention but leaves the great Democratic city of New Orleans untouched but global warming is doing weird things nowadays.

Sorry but I can only offer cynicism of such bizarre assumptions.

It's Disgusting that McCain and Co. are using the Hurricane for a Photo opportunity. He is going to Mississippi. WHY? He can't do anything or even give a hand. He will however have to be protected by police and secret service which will only take up valuable police time if the storm heads that way. Using this potential tragedy to get "Brownie points" is pathetic.
