No, the argument is that she was obviously not radically advocating for secessionist if the leader didn't even know what her view on the matter was.

I would be very intrigued by the idea of Texas seceding, with our oil, beef, crops, ports, and wind energy. It seems like a better and better idea, the more I spend time at this forum.

Every state and it's representatives should be focused on just that, their state. And should be advocates for their state.

I wish California would secede

That means your title is incorrect. Being a member in the 90's, does not mean "active"...

Well, this is just funny, since all these freakin posts about Obama and this anti American connections, coming from some posters (like initials CPM), are basically, trumped by this.
I personally think both are much to do about nothing. However, again, the republicans will continue to, even in a subtle way, question Obama's patriotism, well, talking about stuff to throw right back in their face :>)

How exactly is this unpatriotic? The founding fathers setup the government so that it can actually be questioned. In fact they felt that a revolt on occasion was a good thing. Having a member in power that has proven (if the story is true) that they disagree with where our nation is headed is a good thing. There are talks all over this country of succession, California, Florida, Maine, Texas, New Mexico, and pleanty others have talked about it.

Isn't these government a federation of states? States rights? right?

I see no problem in advocating for your state as a representative or a political party.

Again I said it has much to do about nothing, however, with the way Obama has been wrongfully attacked (and his wife) for not being proud of America, why is this any different? Why should Palin, if Obama's going to be attacked about something stupid and wrong, get a free pass on this?
Would you consider the folks that want to separate from Canada (the French in Quebec) unpatrotic in a Canadian sense (if there is nothing wrong with separation movements)?

Well you are certainly correct about one thing, another 'much ado about nothing' presented by our ever so tolerant, kind and loving of all people....liberals. On another note, why would or could anyone
question Obama's patriotism?
