Remember the movie "Dave" starring Kevin Kline and Sigourney Weaver? The president of the United States was having an affair and his secret service found a man name Dave who looked just like the president to fill in for the president while he was having an affair. Dave ended up filling a more permanant roll because the president had died while he was having sex with his mistris. Anyway the powers in the government were trying to fool the American People into thinking he was the president and they didnt want him to speak or make any comments. Its kinda like Sarah Palin. John McCain wanted to pick Joe Lieberman or Tom Ridge for his running mate but some conservative powers were outraged about that so McCain quickly picked Sarah Palin. They know shes not qaulified but she was "used" for political purpose to win the election. Like in the movie Dave the McCain campaign is trying to fool the American people making us think she is very qaulified. They are keeping her from the press or any kind of situation where she has to talk without a script. They are trying to run the clock out and avoid exposure to the press. They dont want her to make dumb comments like "What is it that the VP does?" If McCain becomes president it doesnt matter because she would be just a puppet but it becomes a problem if McCain dies in office or if his health keeps him from serving as president. They would be stuck with a person handling foreign affairs with Iran, Iraq, Russia, ect who just two years ago was a mayor of a little town of 5,000 in an isolated region of the world with hardly any government experience.

I'm looking forward to the debates too. I think the democrats are seriously underestimating her. If she emerges from the Oct. 4. debate with a tie it's a win, a big win. Biden is no doubt the expert on foreign policy, he's been an observer for so long , but the debate won't be all on foreign policy. On energy policy Palin will destroy him. Biden has been wrong here for his entire career. It should make for good television.

I don't think so. I saw a few videos of her when she was talking about energy policy as Governor, and it was all very Alaska-centric. Nothing she had to say meant a whole lot in the world stage, in which Biden has far more experience.
