One thing I do not understand about Mc Cain, is the fact that he does not seem to worry about ending the Iraq war anytime soon. Historically, no single factor has aggravated the National Debt more than wars. Since 2000, the National Debt has grown almost exponentially, just before the Iraq War, the National Debt was just below 6 trillion, today, we are past 9 trillion. Never in the history of our country has the National Debt grown so quickly in such short period of time. His comments about staying in Iraq for another, 10, 100 years or whatever are not only ignorant but very irresponsible. How can anybody justify a policy that may eventually bankrupt the country.

The 100 years comment was about having a non combat base like we have in different European countries. Not a war.
