This would be the blind leading the blind. So now Biden sits and whines about Cheney for years and here he is going on telling us that he will play even a larger role as VP then Cheney.

The guy is a fruit, so when it was Cheney it was wrong, now is might be him and it is ok.

Damn double standards the dems have has to stop.

Rep to you for knowing that we are all hoping that the voter turnout is high enough to cancel out all those double votes for Obama.

They are already cheating here in Ohio.

Is the OP saying there is a problem with the VP giving ADVICE to the president?

Do you really want a country that is a dictatorship where no consultation with advisors is done because the DECIDER doesn't want to listen to anyone? Or chooses a handful of people and doesn't question anything they come up with for the country, even when it relates to war? Both sound like Bush, but neither like Obama. Obama obviously discusses important matters with his advisors, and then HE makes up his OWN mind. That is the proper role of VP. Cheney running the government behind closed doors is obviously NOT how you run things legally and properly.

If you didn't know better who would you think is the Presidential candidate in this picture?

Obama's utter lack of experience demands he defer to his seasoned running-mate.

I dont know if that split-screen Photoshop job is more offensive for its crude execution or for the presumptions it makes of the viewer's prejudices.

Govern and give advice are 2 different things!

3. To keep the mechanical operation of (a device) within proper parameters: control, regulate. See control/uncontrol, machine.

4. To exercise authority or influence over: control, direct, dominate, rule. Idioms: be at the helm, be in the driver's seat, hold sway over, hold the reins. See over/under.

govern: Definition, Synonyms from Answers.com

Advice:

Good GAWD!

Let me explain....Biden said "HELP GOVERN"....help is like giving advice....what did YOU think it meant
AND : If the President asks you to do something to help it's the VP's responsibility to do just that.

Good post but you know repubs prefer dictatorships....as george Bush said, it's so much easier...and repubs agree that "easy" is best....anything else is too much effort.

After two terms of a tunnel-visioned, narrow-minded ideologue refusing to listen to anyone else a POTUS who recognizes there are viewpoints other than his own will be a welcome change of pace.

This is actually one of the reasons I will vote for Obama. He's smart enough to know that one man cannot do it alone and I trust that he will consult with other really smart people on helping him make decisions. This is called intelligence. When you are representing millions of Americans, I feel like I want someone to gather all the information to find a solution. We don't want another GWB running his one man show- just look at what his arrogance and disregard for his people has done to our country. Anyone that believes that this is not a good quality wants dictatorship.
