Just a question? Since we are being told he knows how to win wars, where is that coming from? He was not a successful warrior.

Using that logic, Willy Mays was an unsuccessful warrior on the baseball field since he never won a WS ring.

No, Willy Mays played the game and promoted his team. He did not lose his bat, get captured by the Braves, sit on the injured list, and then get sent to training camp for the rest of his career.

Her post is logical it is your response that is suspect. Please find linked the individual statistics that Mays Hall of Fame selection is based on. It is not based on WS rings. Thus we must ask what are the career statistics in combat that make McCain a hero? Would you please link them so independent readers can compare, contrast and conclude. We all know he crashed five planes but that is equal in baseball to having a winning or losing record?

Comparatively speaking Mays was playing nerf ball while McCain was playing hard ball. Mays couldn't win a lil boys game where McCain couldn't be beat when the odds were stacked against him.

Nice try but time for you to grab some pine.

Can you get back to the question. What about his warrior experience makes him an expert on winning wars?

What is this supposed to mean? You think McCain had some control over whether his Vietnamese captors executed him?

No McCain does *not* "know how to win wars". He never won one.

His father and father's father were admirals in the U.S. Navy. But not John. He probably feels a lot of pressure on that account. But President trumps an admiral, I suppose.

In a sense yes, he should have died, they gave him up for dead but he survived anyway. Now he's going to be the president of the US, he won.

Oh, I see, you're writing a Hollywood screenplay for a biopic.

He was at war with his captors and won, Mays had great individual stats and was known as "The Say Hey Kid" but never won it all.

Unitas won it all, Namath won it all, Montana, Bradshaw, Brooks and Frank Robbie but not Mays, he was no warrior.
