Barack Obama Couldn’t Pass a Routine Background Investigation - [domain blocked due to spam]
Sen. Barack Obama wouldn’t pass a routine government background investigation, not only to become an FBI agent, but a police officer as well. If he were a soldier, his background would preclude him from obtaining a security clearance. He wouldn’t even qualify to be a support person in a federal agency, such as secretary, for that matter. His past cocaine usage disqualifies him from being a DEA agent.

Ah, that would have certainly disqualified Clinton and Bush, so it's a good thing that they only wanted to be President.

Yeah, the FBI background check is notoriously thorough. They even introduced an all-new, near-instant database a couple months ago. Most people wouldn't pass those tests, especially for the DEA, because illegal drug use at any time adds a lot of red tape. CIA is even worse.

My federal background check (even the SF-85) took a lot longer, too, because I had an MIP on my record a few years back.

But who cares? Bush probably wouldn't get a clearance either with his DWI in the 1970s. Neither would McCain's wife with her past addiction to Percocet. Neither would most Americans.

Why is this relevant? The presidency, as well as all elected offices, do not require background investigations. That's what the opposing campaign is for.

Would Palin qualify given her attachment to the group that wanted Alaska to secede from the US?

Would McCain considering his involvement in the Keating Five scandal?

And I don't think he'd be denied for entrance into the military, since any idiot with half a brain can always get into Army Infantry or support positions. With the way he'd probably score on the ASVAB, he'd probably get into Intelligence.

This would be like applying the rules for hiring a TSA inspector at an airport to the Secretary of the Treasury! IRRELEVANT! Plus, you don't understand the notion of one set of hiring criteria for WORKERS and another for MANAGEMENT!

LOL - I love the "Michael Savage Ph.D" reference.

Yep, it's a good idea to be getting political information from a guy who has a Ph.D from UC Berkeley in "nutritional ethnomedicine".

He wouldn't be able to pass a background check, either.
