Obama’s $1,000 Day Spa Campaign Expense?

May 6th, 2008 - Eneida’s Salon, $1,000, East Berlin, CT - Staging, Sound, Lighting

What’s unique about this is how the Obama campaign expensed this event.

To me it seemed very unlikely that the Obama Campaign actually did any “Staging, Sound and Lighting” at Ms. Bailey’s two-person shop.

This time it wasn’t a link to a business profile, but instead was a link to the Oprah Winfrey Show’s website.

You really want to go down this road considering Palin's $150K purchase of clothing?

Sarah Palin.. 150,000 worth of clothes for 2 months equal out to be about 2,500 a day. Maverick!

I find it funny how Sarah Palin say she said Thanks, but no thanks to the bridge to no where, but said Yes, and thank you to a 150,000 shopping spree.

I don't know about the 1000 dollar expense at a Day Spa, but check out the front page of that blog... talk about rich!

uber cool celebs, guy sporting some casual shoes, open flannel shirt covering his Tshirt that says, "God, Guns, and Glory", carrying a six pack of beer and a shot gun with his oh so well endowed bleached blonde counter part in high heels with a hand bag containing Jimmy Hoffa. Moving on to the next picture, they relax for an afternoon in the sun, sucking down beers with a loaded weapon while reading how to profit amid a financial crisis.

I have to say, this front page deserves its own show... too rich!

gotta see this

Big spending, big government, and the nationalization of our financial system on the way to the exit.

Sure sounds like America is only socialist when it benefits the rich (AKA Republicans)

The Associated Press: Palin aide says candidate's clothing to be donated

McCain says much of Palin's clothing returned (http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/feedarticle/7930332 - broken link)

Quote:
WATERLOO, Iowa (AP) - John McCain says a third of the money spent on Sarah Palin's clothing and accessories has already been given back.
He told NBC's 'Meet the Press" that "the rest will be donated to charity."
Others in his campaign confirm that. A McCain strategist says the third of the $150,000 that was returned included items that were the wrong size.
Palin's campaign spokeswoman, Tracey Schmitt, says some of the clothing was sent back after the Republican Convention. Schmitt says, "Many of the remaining clothes have never been worn." She adds that Palin generally wears her own outfits on the campaign trail. Schmitt says Palin intends to donate the items she has worn to charity.
Quote:

WASHINGTON (AP) — A spokeswoman for Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin says the campaign will donate to charity some $150,000 in clothing and accessories the Republican National Committee has purchased for the Alaska governor.
Money donated to the Republican campaign paid for the clothes and others items.
