I absolutely loathe Olbermann, but he is right on this one. Regardless if Todd is a plant or not, this would have been a great time for McCain to come out aggressively against stupid actions like this. Swing and a miss.
I've tried watching Olbermann and cannot. The reporting style of the MSNBC pundits is embarrassingly unprofessional, childish, and they barely even try to hide their agenda. Even Fox is less obvious with their agenda. Only Meet the Press is worth watching on MSNBC in my opinion.

I like Keith. I admit that he sometimes goes over the top and I certainly don't consider him the "final word" on politics. He is an entertainer and I enjoy him....most of the time. But I do think that this particular special comment was very good. I do think that McCain should step up and attempt to let those who claim they support him know, in no uncertain terms, that this type of behavior is wrong, he rejects it, and wants people to support him for reasons other than the color of his skin. He needs to unequivocally renounce racism, period.

Why are you surprised my friend? These are the same people who preach personal responsiblity but refuse to hold responsible anyone who they think supports their candidate...or their particular peculiar point of view.
If one teen mom out of a thousand squanders her food stamps on pop and potato chips they will write pages of messages on how this proves that all people getting food stamps are lazy, worthless, parasites who are robbing you of your hard earned money. HOWEVER, if Wall Street crooks receive a trillion dollar bail out, paid for with our hard earned money, and immediately throw themselves a party costing 1/2 million dollars, they are silent.
If a black preacher makes some angry comments about white people who ignore racism then everyone who ever sat in his church is a racist. HOWEVER, every Sunday people sit in churches where pastors preach hate toward homosexuals, preach that marriage between races is a sin, preach that voting for a democrat means you want to kill babies, and they are silent.
If Obama talks about readjusting the tax code back to where it was in 2000 so that the working middle class are no longer paying the rich man's share for keeping this country operating then he is a socialist. HOWEVER, if McCain talks about making the working middle class pay even MORE of the rich man's share for operating this country then he is the great savior of American freedom.
