Since only registered users can post and most people just read, it's hard to realize how widely-read and potentially influential our forum can be. The total number of unique visitors to our Elections forum between Sep. 1, 2008 and Nov. 4, 2008 was 1.7 million people (based on Google Analytics stats).

I was looking at some of the board reader stats and you can see who our most popular posters were. Couple of regular faces and I think they also show which posts are more popular in total traffic as well.

BoardReader.com is missing out on over half of our posts, so I'm not sure if their poster stats are too accurate either.

ok, I'll keep that in mind. I just stumbled on it while scouring for as many stats on this area of the forum to gauge traffic here.

Nice numbers though

Thats great. I hope people got something useful out of these conversations. I know I had a lot of fun with this even if the site only got low numbers of uniques during that timeframe.
