Will the Obama Administration sign this?

Dems Target Private Retirement Accounts

RALEIGH — Democrats in the U.S. House have been conducting hearings on proposals to confiscate workers’ personal retirement accounts — including 401(k)s and IRAs — and convert them to accounts managed by the Social Security Administration.

Obama is bringing in millions of illegals most of who have not been paying into social security and he's promised the illegals they can start to bring in their family members still left back home. Many of these family members they will bring in are elderly parents and grandparents. Many illegals are in their 50's and 60's now -- they have no social security but Obama is going to give them USA citizenship.

How else will they survive here if they aren't given social security checks?

So what if we worked hard for that money, that we saved our money in a 401K AND paid into social security. Obama is a Socialist, he believes in wealth redistribution and the Congress is ultra liberal now. No one can stop this.

Okay, that's a potential 20-30 million NEW DEMOCRATS when these illegals become legal.
Might as well say the REPUBLICANS are a dead party.

More propaganda. This was an opinion offered at a hearing on how the current financial crisis is impacting pension funds and direct retirement funds, and your use of "confiscate" is totally inflammatory and inaccurate. You can read the woman's actual prepared remarks on this site, as well as others who testified at this hearing. Others advocated, among other things, increased education and protection for those using 401(k)s.

No kidding. I don't think the OP or the "Carolina Journal" even read their own article.

Theyve been dead for quite sometime now, unless you are an old white guy or an idiot. Then you vote Republican.

But they are the most properous dead people in the country. That is why democrats want to share their wealth.Old white guy sounds like a racist statement the way you put it. If iut wasn't for old whoite folks there wouldnt be much wealth to sahre and thsi country would quiockly be a third world country. It would be looking for foreign aid from china or india rather than from the old white guys.

Increased education and protection for those using 401Ks? Why should these folks (including me) need "increased education and protection"? Do you even understand what a 401K retirement plan is? What the Democrats would like to do is to tax us. In other words take a great portion of the money we now invest away from us. Instead of not being taxable income, they will make it taxable, and controlled by the S.S.A.

If they go along with that plan, I will pull out all my money and take the 30% penalty. At least I will keep some of it.
