I am keeping it real. 20% of his promises before Americans realize they have been scammed and turn against B. Hussein?

Think it's possible?

Here is a short list of promises from ONE DAY on the campaign trail:

Oct 30, 2008 in Sarasota, Fla., Obama said that he'd:
  • "give a tax break to 95 percent of Americans who work every day and get taxes taken out of their paycheck every week";
  • "eliminate income taxes on Social Security for seniors making under $50,000";
  • "give homeowners and working parents additional tax breaks";
  • not increase taxes on anyone if they "make under $250,000; you will not see your taxes increase by a single dime –- not your income taxes, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains tax";
  • "end those breaks to companies that ship jobs overseas";
  • "give tax breaks to companies that invest right here in the United States";
  • "eliminate capital gains taxes for small businesses and start-up companies that are the engine of job creation in this country";
  • "create two million new jobs by rebuilding our crumbling roads, and bridges, and schools -- by laying broadband lines to reach every corner of the country";
  • "invest $15 billion a year in renewable sources of energy to create five million new energy jobs over the next decade";
  • "reopen old factories, old plants, to build solar panels, and wind turbines";
  • build "a new electricity grid";
  • "build the fuel efficient cars of tomorrow";
  • "eliminate the oil we import from the Middle East in 10 years";
  • "lower premiums" for those who already have health insurance;
  • "if you don't have health insurance, you'll be able to get the same kind of health insurance that members of Congress give themselves";
  • "end discrimination by insurance companies to the sick and those who need care the most";
  • "invest in early childhood education";
  • "recruit an army of new teachers";
  • "pay our teachers higher salaries, give them more support. But ... also demand higher standards and more accountability";
  • "make a deal with every young person who's here and every young person in America: If you are willing to commit yourself to national service, whether it's serving in our military or in the Peace Corps, working in a veterans home or a homeless shelter, then we will guarantee that you can afford to go to college no ifs ands or buts";
  • "stop spending $10 billion a month in Iraq whole the Iraqis have a huge surplus";
  • "end this war in Iraq";
  • "finish the fight and snuff out al Qaeda and bin Laden";
  • "increase our ground troops and our investments in the finest fighting force in the world";
  • "invest in 21st century technologies so that our men and women have the best training and equipment when they deploy into combat and the care and benefits they have earned when they come home";
  • "No more homeless veterans"; and
  • "no more fighting for disability payments."
This on top of his 30-minute infomercial Oct 29, 2008, and the myriad other pledges and promises he's made throughout the last 21 months.

CAN B. HUSSEIN OBAMA KEEP AT LEAST 20% OF HIS PROMISES???

IF SO, HOW???

And here is even a bigger question:

If Obama doesn't follow through with his endless promises, which include "a nation healed, a world restored".... WILL HIS SUPPORTERS TURN ON HIM???

Maybe the REAL question is: HOW LONG will it take until Obama supporters face reality and get disillusioned with him and turn their backs on their "new messiah"?

This could be a VERY disappointing few years for the people who think this guy is THE messiah! The
expectations are INCREDIBLY HIGH... This is gonna be fun!

He and his teams - when they're all hired and in place - will face a variety of complicated problems that arent solvable in a day or with a single template, but judging from the people already chosen they won't be a gaggle of complaining losers. I think if it's possible to get these things done, they'll do them. Let's give this incoming administration a chance to succeed.

They have hit the ground running and a week out of the election are already making strides toward change.

The announcement yesterday about limiting the participation of lobbyists in the administration was a great start.

His plans to repeal some of Bush's executive orders is another great idea.

I think there's a good possibility he will make some massive changes within his first year-

Thanks to Bush helping the transition, it's going smooth for now. The Obama team repaid Bush's help by leaking part of their meeting to the media... veeeery professional!

So you believe they will get at least 20% of it done? Heal the world, save the nation... all that jazz?

How about people's expectations that peace will reign in the Middle East? Think that will happen? How about people who expect Obama will take care of them, buy them gas, pay their mortgage, etc?

Some of the "changes" being pushed already have to do with banning all drilling all over USA in land and offshore, which will guarantee gas prices will soar soon. I don't see how that will benefit a weak economy in the USA...

The other changes have to do with bailing out the US Auto industry... while at the same time pushing for more Unionization - the very reason why the US automakers are bankrupt in the first place!

Yeah, Obama said during the campaign: NO LOBBYISTS WILL HAVE WORK UNDER ME. Now he is like... well no lobbyist during the TRANSITION. Another expectation gone down the drain, huh?

What are some of YOUR personal expectations of B. Hussein that you think they will get done?

How about the stock market, still going down on a daily basis as everyone is trying to sell their stocks before their taxes go up??

How is this bleeding gonna stop?? Think Hussein will change his higher tax position or think he will allow the stock market to collapse altogether under the threat of higher taxes?

Why all the hypothetical questions, let's get the guy in office first and then watch what he does.

Btw OP I see you must have been slapped upside the head for using Hussein in your thread titles, you make sure we see it in your posts by your use of caps though.

He can if he has the correct support from both sides of the aisle. If they fight against him only out of spite then probably not. But politicians don't do stuff like that right?
