He didn't actually record the conservation but he leaked it, which was a stupid move on his part. McDermott has however consistently stood up for liberal values no matter how unpopular at the time....his opposition to the Iraq war from the beginning as an example.

he's a tax monger. I can agree with him on the war stance, but moronic tax freaks annoy me.

Yeah, right.

My 13-year-old grandson makes up all kinds of "noble sentiments" to excuse the childish stunts he pulls, too. Nobody's fooled, except him. This is middle school stuff, someone thinking she's cool because she got away with being ba-a-a-d.

Exactly.

This is just another example of some liberals making a***s out of themselves without being smart enough to know it.

No problem Nancy Pelosi will go from house to house removing the impeachment ornament much like she did as speaker.

Yet worshipped by her betrayed minions

Well, let's say it's an example of an individual making a***s out of herself. She didn't do this as a representative of other liberals, and her action certainly does not speak for me or for anyone else I know.

Sadly, there are lots of people in this world with poor judgement who love to align themselves with politics. Ashley Todd (the girl who carved a backwards B on her cheek) is another one. It's foolish to think such people represent "typical" members of either party.

There's no way that ornament will be hung on the tree.

Agreed. My personal opinion is that the "artist" should have felt honored to be chosen and done something in a little better taste.

Well it looks like we won't have to wonder about the ornament any longer..the Washington Post is reporting that the ornament will not be hung having been deemed by Laura Bush as "inappropriate for the holiday tree."

Quote:
"Oh, dear," said Seattle-based artist Deborah Lawrence, who created the red and white ornament that salutes Rep. Jim McDermott (D-Wash.) and his support for a resolution to impeach the president. "This doesn't really surprise me. But it's disappointing that I won't get to see it on the tree."

You know you could not remove him from office, because there's nothing he has done that could possibly be construed as impeachable offenses. In the end, you'd look even more stupid than the Republicans did when they impeached Clinton. End of story.
The rest of the world hates Bush. Bush Cheney and Rumsfeld are seen as war criminals in other parts of the world. They are war profiteers and traitors that lied this country into a war. What do you not understand about this? A CIA operative was working to keep us safe and they outed her. Do you want the list of 35 articles of impeachment that were presented on the Senate floor?

Here's a tidbit from awhile back about how much Bush is admired in other countries:

"Yesterday George W. Bush left Mexico, and for many of the local inhabitants of Merida and the surrounding countryside, it wasn’t a moment too soon.
They say the president’s people chose the city of Merida for its peaceful and friendly atmosphere.

Admittedly, there were several small protests here before Bush came, but none while he was here that we heard of, though there were violent protests in Mexico City and in other countries during Bush’s tour."

"Priests to purify site after Bush visit (Boston Globe). "Mayan priest will purify a sacred archaeological site to eliminate 'bad spirits' after President Bush leaves."
