Cool. Thanks for the link.

In 1972 Madame Tussaud's in London did an exit poll of visitors to find out who was the most hated and feared person in history.

Nixon won, beating out Mao Tse Tung, Idi Amin, Hitler, and Satan.

I have been wishing for a while that they would repeat the poll. I'd love to see if Bush makes the cut.

By whom?

I can think of 60 or 70 million people who think he's the greatest thing since the invention of the pop top. In a worldwide setting, maybe a couple billion.

Why are you so bitter? Is it that you have nothing else but religion and guns to cling to?

Mike

I suppose that I hated Bush. More likely, I hated what his administration did to our country. However, lately, I have had a great deal of empathy for him. I believe that he was honestly trying to do what he thought was right, but he didn't have the intelligence necessary, and he listened to people like Karl Rove and Dick Cheney too much. I also think he isolated himself from the public by not talking to people with dissenting views or really keeping up with news by reading. Today, I pity him more than hate him. I hate what has happened to our country on his watch, but I believe he did the best he could under the circumstances. He just wasn't up to the job. I pray Obama is and will deserve the optimism of the world that has been bestowed upon him.

The person who made Obama's ears probably has a few jokes to tell about having a whole lotta ear wax.
