I get a real kick out of the fact that unless you reveal some personal detail about your life, people can't tell what age, gender, or race you are. I'm a person who's been stereotyped many times throughout my life so I find that extremely liberating.
To my amusement, there are a few regulars who still haven't figured out someone named "normie" is female. I love it!
Now that's a propaganda picture if ever I saw one! Lull them into a sense of security...
Myself - I have to admit, I know I'm not holding up as well as I should have...I've been having middle-age transition issues the last year or so; still see myself as my old self, not as my old self. So Im not ready to post a picture.
I wonder if sitting on your a** in front of a computer ingesting a stream of coffee and cigarettes twelve hours a day for a year could be damaging at all.

I wonder if sitting on your bottom in front of a computer twelve hours a day for a year ingesting a stream of coffee and cigarettes could be damaging at all.
Yeah, I know what you mean. I got a little nervous about putting my picture up so I decided to take it back off. Guess that makes me a tease...
Yep, add me to list of those who have thought a poster was a man and later found out it was a woman. I post on another forum that has a little icon by your screen name for male or female. (You can elect not to show that if you wish, but most people don't.) I find that helpful.

I like to be shocked to discover how off-base I was
I know this is going to sound judgemental but I generally think that the more "well thought out" a post is the more likely it was written by a female. Somehow they paid more attention in grades 4-9 when things like; syntax, case, subject/verb agreement, your/you're, there/they're/their and other homonyms, as well as spelling were being taught.
I always try to be careful regarding these subjects, but my name probably (but I could be lying) gives me away.
I always like debating, online or in person, with anyone who has their FACTS, and can argue them. With those that just parrot what FoxNews or Limbaugh said yesterday-meh.
golfgod (or could it be golfGODDES) golfgirl was already taken!
Okay, I just have to say it. Has anyone else here noticed that some of the most vocal, occasionally the most laughable (gotta include myself in this one), and some of the most wildly politically passionate arguers here are women?
I say this because I JUST figured out that one of my arch-nemeses here (she shall remain nameless and doesn't know I'm talking about her ) is female.
I SO had this person pegged as male. And God knows I've been mistaken for a dude about 500 times.
So LET'S HEAR IT FOR THE GIRLS of the Elections board. We keep things hoppin'. We are outrageous. We are funny. We are way controversial...one way or another.
We've provided some of the most memorable CD Elections board moments...you know it's true.
Go ahead. We crazy wingnut politico chicks will just stand back now and accept the applause.
You're only surprised because women act like a victimized minority when they are a majority.
I have frequently been referred to as "the guy who wants to go back to Nebraska" I am most definitely female, and the NE stands for New England. You just never know...
