Mitt or Palin...Obama could win even more red states in 2012 if those to whack jobs are on the GOP ticket...

This reminds me of when Fred Thompson was considered a viable candidate.

I think that Huckabee is vastly underrated for the 2012 nomination. I didn't even realize until recently that he was interested until I read the last sentence in his book, "Do the Right Thing." I'm not saying I would support his candidacy in the primaries (it's a little to early for that), but his popularity has skyrocketed over the past two years. I think a lot of people view him as just some religious backwoods hick from Arkansas. But in my opinion, that's almost completely the media's fault. He was not considered a major candidate in the last election, but if he's already being touted as one of the big three, people better watch out. In the last election, he was running on very little campaign funds because no one knew who he was. However, that has changed. This man was successful as governor in Arkansas, is articulate, likeable, and increasingly popular. If Obama's approval ratings continue to decline, Huck has a very real shot at the presidency in 2012.

....that is, assuming he doesn't pick someone like Palin as a running mate

Palin might pick Huckabee. The current leaders of the Republican Party have driven out any and all moderates and subsequently are left to run only extreme right wing candidates. I do not think the American people are willing to go for another extremist and will simply vote for a centrist like Obama.

I am a leftist but Obama is certainly not.

Actually no. I have plenty of other posts in other threads. Feel free to take a gander when you calm down.

I am not hiding anything. I posted a poll and made a comment. I have that right and I enjoy it.

Opposition? What makes you think I am a Democrat? Your assumption makes you look as ignorant as you really are and I said stupid not ignorant.

I have no party affiliation and I am against the two party system. Nice leap to judgment off of one post and I also like the deflection to the economy.

It's not the democrats making the economy worse it's stupid people (have a mirror handy?). People should be investing now. They should be buying now. The only way the economy gets better is if people stop being such p*ss**s and go spend money. Sure there are a lot of people out of work but guess how companies keep people employed? When their products get purchased and they make money.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

I really like Fred. I cant see him actually winning, but I think he would be a better choice than any of the rest when it comes down to it
