It's okay to do these things if you're a Republican, not so much if you're a Democrat named William Jefferson Clinton.

Republicans, thy name is hypocrisy.

Well jeez danny, they did impeach bill, but he was acquitted.
Maybe they're in the forgive and forget mood?
Maybe the least they could do to him is make him pay back the misappropriation of funds he used for his little trips to see mistress A.
He's probably lucky to still have a wife, because most women, (but not all) would be dragging the cheater into divorce court, and rightly so.

And dont forget Newt the Hoot, who was carrying on an affair of his own while going after President Clinton.

These folks are some real dandies.

Would that apply to John Edwards having an affair while his wife has cancer? Or, because he's a democrat he should get a pass from you?

Yes, I know, the same who were calling the kettle black.
I think the least that the NC attorney general could do is see that the money sanford used is refunded back to the state. It seems pretty obvious that sanford is not willing to step down. Hopefully, if he's eligible to run again, people will remember his name and not vote for him. I don't know how long he's been in office, nor do I care because his actions do not affect me, but I'm sure the people of NC are displeased.

it's too bad congress, and the American public didn't know about newt's affair while he was pushing the impeachment process, I'm sure things would have turned out much differently than they did.

I dont remember him getting a "pass" from anyone. And HE killed his Presidential aspirations when it was revealed. By then they were over anyway.

Couple of differences here. Edwards wasn't trying to impeach anyone. Edwards was never taken to task, or made to repay funds, although he is an adulterer. Maybe he misused campaign contributions, but that isn't the same as using state money for flights and flings.

Edwards was no longer in office. What would you suggest be done?

what are you babbling about this time? First of all, doesn't this belong on the political forum and not the election part and secondly, Clinton was impreached because he lied, not because he was getting it on with every and any gal that would have him...

As for Sanford, I think most of us think he slimmy...
