A real Democrat would not have endorsed John McCain for Pres.

If she were a Senator we could swap you Lieberman, would make a wonderful trade for both parties

They've successfully used that type of argument for years. They talk about "the real Virginia" or "real Americans" with the underlying message being: If you don't agree with us, you're not a real Virginian, or American, or whatever.

Remember their "family values" code phrase? It's still used, although not as often as it once was. It was usually brought up as a way of condemning homosexuality and single-parents.

And George H.W. Bush once said that atheists shouldn't be considered real American citizens.

It remained uncertain, however, whether her endorsement could tilt the race toward Democrat Bill Owens.

As an Italo-American who believes in keeping one's word especially to the "guy who brung me to the dance" i.e. Republican Party, I am disgusted with the behavior of Ms. Scozzafava. She knows damn well that the President called her and asked her to drop out and she lets the media and the public plame others except her willingness to be a traitor to those who first gave her recognition.
I served in Government a long time and still remember the advice I received the first day of my arrival.....once you give your word, don't change it....you will never be trusted again.
Own up Scozzafava....you make all women candidates potential political prostitutes. What was your price? A job? By your deeds we will soon know.

One thing people like Scozzafava do is to galvanize us, the voters, into Americans...because she has made it plain that party affiliations do not matter. She could have stated her positions on various matters and won as the candidate she started out to be....but she had to do a favor for the President....that appealed to her more than her obligation to honor the people who gave her their nomination vote. What a pirrannha. Dangerous in any waters.
I suppose that will be the m.o. next time around....look for people to become nominees and then become deserters.....so now we Americans will adopt our m.o. Defeat incumbent Democrats....one and all.
There once was a dame Scozzafava
Whose opinions changed on Presidential demand...
The only thing is, she is no political whiz....
We Americans will take a stand....
We will leave our homes on Election Day...
And we will finally have our say.....
Throw the bums out..Scozza taught us well....
Since they change their colors for a price....
Democrats gotta go...this warning should suffice...
Can't wait...for the next election....Bye Bye Scozza...thanks for your eye opening defection!

No matter how one tries to disguise Scozza's turnhcoat...she was shameful. She was out of money and support and succumbed to people in high places....what a lowlife......
