The US Congressional Term Limits Non-Profit Organization has been formed to amend the Constitution to limit the terms of US Senators and Representatives. The only possible method to accomplish this amendment, as allowed in the Constitution, is through a Constitutional Convention, called by two-thirds of the legislatures of the States, at which the amendments, drafted by our Organization, will be proposed and agreed upon. After the Convention, these amendments will be sent to the States to be approved by either three-fourths of the legislatures or State conventions. This route, to amend the Constitution, has never been taken before, and will be an arduous journey.

Good luck. This is something that "we the people" need.

I think it's a great idea, but it's never going to happen. It's like asking to take a pay cut.

We already have term limits. They are called elections. If you don't like your represenative, vote him out.

??????????????????????

The problem is when a long time Representative gets the title-----" powerfull chairman of the------" ( insert whatever House committee you want)

The vast majority of Americans might be fed up with him, but as long as he stays on the good side of 51% of the voters in a small section of his home state,he retains that power.

It took a long time for that sun-tanned old Democrat from the Eastern part of Washington state to finally have those few voters get fed up with him ,also.

Foley was his name and his face was everywhere on tv news with the words------" powerfull chairman "

Well, that's how Democracy and the American system work. Also keep in mind things are a lot more likely to get passed and done with someone who has been in and knows the system than some sort of maverick rookie.

Those people are the ones who elect him to be their representative.
