A new Greenberg Quinlan Rosner (D) poll in Connecticut shows Richard Blumenthal holding a 15 points lead over Linda McMahon (R) in the U.S. Senate race, 55% to 40%.

Key point: "Blumenthal has withstood the attacks of the past week very well."
The attacks, you call them attacks? OMG, most, even loyal Democrats would call them exposing the truth and you say attacks?

Don't you know?

When anyone brings up the words and comments of a democrat, that is an attack and smear.

As the widow of a Vietnam Veteran I was sickened by Blumenthal's little show at the VFW. He does have the right to be proud of his service in the Reserves as do all military who serve or have served in the Reserves.

My husband enlisted in the Marines right out of high school and served in Nam in a Recon Unit. He rarely spoke of his experiences but as our boys got older they would ask him questions. It was only then did I learn of some of his experiences which included burning the leeches off of his legs with cigarettes and trying to avoid some kind of deadly snake. He went through swamps never knowing where a sniper might be hiding. I could write more but I suddenly feel sickened. Perhaps we could put Blumenthal out in a field somewhere to have these types of experiences and I would bet he would never misspeak about Nam again. Harsh? You bet, but so were the conditions in Nam for our brave men and women who served. I feel as if he danced on my husband's grave.

It made me sad to see those Vets standing and supporting the liar. Is that what it has come to in our country? They needed to show support for a liar simply because he supports the Veterans of this country as should all elected officals and actually, all Americans? To them I say, "Thank you so much for your service. But, remember the motto of the Marines as it means Always Faithful. Be that for those who actually fought and died in service to our country. Be faithful to them instead of someone who has to lie in order to feel better about himself or in the words of Arlene Spector, " to get elected." (When asked why he switched parties). Spector is gone and Blumental should slink back to..... ( I am sorry. I can't think of a place to where his kind belong. Perhaps he should go to the Wall in DC and have some kind of epithany about his words and how they cause hurt to others. ) and be gone as well.

You mean the poll released by Blumenthal's campaign?

The Fix - Dick Blumenthal apologizes (again)

Quote:
A poll released by Blumenthal's campaign today makes that very point; he leads former World Wrestling Entertainment CEO Linda McMahon (R) 55 percent to 40 percent -- even with more than nine in ten (91 percent) of likely voters aware of the Vietnam story.
Duped once again. It's an internal poll.
