Okay so I'm gonna cut right to the chase. I'm a musician/performer and I'm trying to figure out which scene would be the best fit for me. I've narrowed it down to Portland & New York, oh and btw I'm only 40 minutes away from the city so I kinda know what that's like. I'm looking to gig and make money from my craft. I keep hearing about Portland and its strong community driven music scene which is a HUGE plus for me cause I'm very big on helping out the fellow man/woman. Where New York seems like its more in favor of the "established" artists and has a **** you attitude and most people are rude/pretentious. My genre of persuit is Alternative (Radiohead-esque) and Experimental/Electronic. Please please help me out I'm 20 years old and looking to way out all of my options. BRUTAL HONESTY is encouraged, thank you hope to hear from anyone.
