Hey, what are some nice areas to live that would be a central location between Eugene and Albany? Moving to the area from VA and looking for somewhere in between the two cities. Looking for a nice area to live in and very good school system (elementary school)

There's not a lot directly between them. Halsey or Brownsville would be about the only things close to a midpoint. I don't think either is known for their schools, though I haven't researched those districts specifically.

You should come and visit first. The areas between cities here is very different from back East. I'm from Maryland so I can relate. The populations between cities is very tiny.

Coburg. Small town. Poor School. Harrisburg. Same story. But many value small-town living and the attention the schools provide make up for what they lack.
Junction City and Monroe would also be on this list.

Check out Coburg. They have an awesome charter school now that feeds into a wonderful middle school (Cal Young in the 4j district) and for high school try to encourage your kids to get involved with IHS. Eugene high schools are not that great on their own, you really need to get involved in honors or IHS to receive any benefit.
Coburg's charter school will also gain the most awesome band teacher ever next year: Mr. Powell. He is a bit of a local celebrity and he is a wonderful music teacher. He has been at a few different schools in the Eugene area but will be joining Coburg Charter next school year!

There's really not alot between Eugene and Albany... mostly farms and fields and a few little towns that feel like little "country towns" but that are not very big at all. Coburg is close enough in so that even though it is a small town, you're close enough to Eugene so that you don't feel like you're out in the middle of nowhere.
If you're going for that out in the middle of nowhere feeling, try Blue River. Cute town! Very beautiful and the schools would be the McKenzie School District. The drive isn't bad, actually. I used to do it frequently.
