I stayed in Paris for two months and I noticed something that had been a little confusing for me.
Racially France seems to have a high Black and high Arabic population. But I noticed that with the Black population, it was more assimilated and mixed with the White population of France. I often saw a lot of Black male - White female couples there, even more than I do here in the USA.
But with the Arabic population I noticed it did not mix with the White population that much at all.
Is there some type of a stigma against being near an arabic looking person there?
Yes there is, this has to do with history. You gotta understand France is not the U.S. at all, so there are different perspectives in seeing things, just because some has a very dark skin tone doesn't mean he's going to be treated worse than the one who's lighter-skinned see. It has to do with culture, religion, education.

Yeah Americans are more obsessed with race than culture I think. To them a Polish and an Italian American might as well be the same since they're both 'white.'

Sometimes black French are better than white French. If a white French doesn't speak English he won't answer your question in gestures. But one African guy answered me all pretty good with only gestures.
I think the younger Africans in France are good. The older one sometimes are a little bit unclean. But the younger ones look like typical young French.
i know paris . its not about skin tone its about behavior. the violence is coming from the arab population. im not sure the significance of black male white female couples. how is that important?

I think that Arab-European couples will be much commoner with younger Arabs, I explain myself: all immigrants' sons and daughters who were born in Europe(take France, UK,Italy etc) will be, overall, much more integrated than their parents and this will be easily favor interracial couples.
Most Moroccans I know here in Italy are young guys and I don't see any difference between me and them aside from their religion (which is taken seriously but has never been an obstacle) and names and, sometimes, skin's colour.
As for Black people, here in Italy they are much less frequent than in France (because of different colonial past) and so they are less integrated but I noticed, in Milan, to see more commonly than before Black people wearing smoking/being rich (I mean, Black people who reached the dirigential class).
I saw that in Italy you have people from Bangladesh. They don't look integrated much and just sell something. Some of them are ok, but some don't wash themselves everyday.
Africans in France look pretty integrated, you can see them even in a theater.
