No, it's called the "Satire". Sorry if you are not familiar with a concept, ( Russians are actually very good when it comes to satire,) or if it brings too much "rage and venom" in response in you)))

The gun shown is a 2A36 Giasint B. It came into service in 1975. The 2A35 MSTA came into service 1987. It's the modernized version of the 2A36. It's lighter in weight and still in service in the Russian army but considered second tier because of it's lack of mobility. Ukraine has about 130 of these. I've seen them in use. Problem is the barrels are made in Chelyabinsk unless the Ukrops are making their own which I seriously doubt. I've seen video of the Ukrainians shipping SU-100s around. Where in the world they had them or who gave those things to them I don't know but that's kit the Germans had to worry about in 1944.

Ukraine is better sticking with the Grosvika 122mm because it's mobile and concentrate on their version of the MSTA. They're self propelled and would be able to shoot and scoot instead of shoot and end up scrap.

You're probably right there. On the other hand what does Russia have to lose? I think that war is coming, best just get it over with.

Here is the problem; once you'll "press the tail of the Leningrad rat" for real, you'll push the button of the WWIII.
Because, as I've said before, Russia is really not at fault here. The WEST is.

Such are God's ways.

I don't like some aspects of these new security services. Smells of Chekists and the like.
