If the population of these European countries were the same, lets say 50,000,000 but everything else was the same as it was now (eg quality of life, food, climate etc.) where would you rather spend the rest of your life at?
Assuming alone, in retirement, and independently wealthy, for me it would be a toss up between Portugal and Greece. For the sake of the poll, I chose Portugal.
Just my personal impressions and feelings, but I perceived a greater police presence in Spain than in Portugal, due to the ETA thing when I was there, and it bothered me a bit, and more a feeling of mystery in certain regions of Portugal, especially eastern Algarve. Plus the food is better, at least to my taste.
Not that Spain isn't a great choice, it is, but I preferred Portugal.
Italy, on the other hand, is a bureaucratic nightmare, it touches and wrecks every facet of life there, rendering it unpleasant.

50 million people in Finland would be rather crowded. Can I kill off a fair amount with a plague or something before I settle down for the rest of my life?

It won't be that big The UK is smaller than Finland and it has 63,000,000 people living there. Not all the areas are crowded in the UK. But i think it will be a bit much for Denmark

Too crowded for my liking anyway. A few more people would be nice but not that many.

I would say 25-30,000,000 for Sweden would be ideal, maybe 20-25,000,000 for Finland won't be that crowded
