Russian feels Soviet break away states are still rightly theirs and they don't like those countries getting US bases or joining the EU. I think Putin's talk is mostly to appear strong but Russia is definitely becoming much more aggressive. Remember they took a province belong to Georgia 5 years ago now it's a third of Ukraine.
i doubt his backers will support that but russia is not new to bully tactics and europe is not new to folding under to bullies.
his timing is good bek we are taped out and he knows it. one this should be clear and it is at least to russia. nato is pee wee hermin.
