I am sure both Warsaw and Prague are beautiful cities. It is interesting what is per cent of people who can speak English in Poland and Czech Republic? And here is the answer:
I've been to both cities, I much prefer PRAGUE by a long shot.
That being said, downtown Warsaw where the tourists go, is a pretty neat area. The problem with Warsaw is it was bombed to smithereens last century, and they basically built it to be very car-centric with a ton wide roads going on a very strong grid pattern. Apparently it USED to be a very beautiful city. But, after being bombed so many times, they had to build from scratch, and it shows with the very modern car-centric designs and planning.
Prague bothers me purely by how annoyingly touristic it is. Also, I get the impression that Warsaw is cheaper, and probably the whole of Poland is. I don't know which is better to live in though.
Prague wins in tourism category, but Warsaw has larger population and is more important in economy and politics due to being capital of a much bigger country.
