Not that I can think of. European cities and villages and such, are generally very people-oriented, community-centered, etc.

It's not like the U.S., where you get that weird vibe all over the place. Mostly because so many places in the U.S. have that weird eerie 'where is everyone' feel? Thinking of downtowns, small towns, parking lots...well, just about everywhere in the U.S.!

I can't think of one place anywhere in Europe that has a strange atmosphere/vibe. Maybe commie blocks in remote parts of the former Eastern Europe? That might have the potential...

15 years in Asia, and when I go back to the U.S., I see dead and empty downtowns, and no one walking around anywhere!

On the other hand, go into a Wal-Mart, and you can find all the people in there! It's pretty weird to me anyway.

It makes the towns feel eerie - hardly any people anywhere...except in their cars heading to some shopping-related parking lot, most of the time.

That weird vibe is everywhere I go. But, it's not me. It's not. Nope.

Detroit. Use streetview or see 'The Crow'. Detroit is about as eerie as it gets, and it's gotten worse since the movie was recorded.
