After the attacks in Paris and New Year's security scares, Germans have been snapping up self-defense equipment like stun guns - to the delight of a Czech manufacturer who corners the market.

Prague-based Euro Security Products, or ESP, has been flooded by new orders from Germany for stun guns and can't keep up with demand.

Company owner Bretislav Kostal said demand began skyrocketing in September and the company delivered a total of 25,000 for the German market in 2015. Some 15,000 of those were in the last four months of the year.
That's because right wing parties have been spreading fears of an apparent invasion when it's just a regular migratory flux that's been happening in the same way as the German one to America at the end of the 19th century. When there will be peace in the Middle East and those countries can thrive again these flux will come to a halt.

These parties have interest in spreading fears through strumentalization and lies because it helps them gain ground and divide Germans from well integrated Muslims further

To show to the world just how open minded and liberal they are, they stupidly opened their borders to Middle Eastern people without thought of the repercussions. The rest is history.
That's not a show off, these countries didn't suddenly open the borders to the Middle East and it isn't only Middle Eastern immigrants they are welcoming. It's just that starting from the 60s they had to face growing migratory fluxes, first it was Western and Southern Europeans, then Eastern and now Middle Easterns, North African, Subsaharian African and even Eastern Asians. If the majority of these immigrants didn't integrate the borders would have been closed long ago and there would be no EU to speak of.

I think Americans really misjudge European politics (but the opposite is also true) but these values are ingrained inside the majority

Binary Thinking
Phrase. Denotes a system of thought that predominantly considers things in an "either, or", "right, wrong", "black, white" way, ignoring any subtleties or consideration of third or more alternatives.

In philosophy, this is know as a "bifurcation fallacy".

People who habitually think in this way are usually fairly unintelligent and unimaginative.
G.W. Bush: "You're either with us, or your with the terrorists".
Me: "Wow, Bush can only seem to understand the world through binary thinking..."

No. Your post was illogical. Why should you admire them for protecting animal rights if they commited massive cruelties to a certain species (humans!)?

That's like adoring the person who tortured your wife and kids to death because he gave your bunny a carrot and water before leaving your house.

Needless to say, their animal welfare was only antisemitically motivated, mostly to ban the shechita. And to the end of the war they took liberties with their animal protection and tested biological weapons on animals.

Furthermore, they weren't the first, you should rather adore them https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Society_for_the_Prevention_of_Cruelty_to_Ani mals

The nazi party was 100 % evil. Period.
