Dutch have very different opinions about everything. Look how many parties they have in government. Some very conservative and some very liberal and many mixed in between.

Terrorists, immigrants flooding in, no-go zones, rapes and murders around every corner, religious fanaticism incompatible with Western values...

It think they've reached critical mass. I think the US is finished.

What bewilders me is that Americans think the election of Trump is a normal thing.

there is nobody in his political party other than him, he did no campaigning, has maybe three things he talks about, still comes in second. i dont feel like it was that great a victory for anti-populism to be cheering about so loudly

Well, for me it is the other way around. I think the Europeans view on Trump is really narrow minded and based too much on European ideas and ideals.

What changed in the life of an average American due to the election of Trump? I think, more or less nothing. The development of the economy is what influences the people most, and that seems quite stable at the moment - due to Trump, or despite Trump. I actually like the idea, that you don't need to be a non-successful but idealistic long-year member of the political establishment to become a President in the US.

That's funny! Europeans have been predicting the end of the US since the Marshall Plan money ran out, all the time failing to recognize America's and Americans ability to turn on a dime.
