On May Day, the US Department of State issued an alerts to U.S. citizens regarding the continued threat of terrorist attacks throughout Europe. https://travel.state.gov/content/pas...gs/Europe.html

Worried? Changing plans to visit Europe?

The ONLY people who die from homicide are involved with gangs, all the killings are targeted unlike Europe

You mean gangstas like those in the nightclub in Orlando?
Or gangstas in San Bernardino(recently again in a gangsta-school in S.B, 2 dead and one child)
Or gangstas in NY with these two artisanal bombs that hurt 30 people?
Or gangstas maybe the shooting in the airport in Florida?
Or gangstas killed by these dude on FB killing in the street in live?
Or gangstas hurt/killed the 26th of march in a nighclub, 1 dead and 14 hurt?
Or gangstas that died during this recent shooting at the pool, dozen of people hurt, one girl killed?
.
.
.

Damn, all the targets aren't ganstas. Impossible to say that. They also target civilians like in Europe, with the same frequency or higher. Just people don't die under Allah Akbar, so everyone feels better.

What if... we put an "Allah Akbar" on each attacks on the list upper?
Does USA sound like a hell now? After all people are killed and families are ruined, what's the difference?

Maybe if we remove gangstas, criminality number are back to normal (I doubt), but attacks against civilians are still here, no difference with Europe.

The State Dept. policy is to post warnings when there's reason to believe a danger exists, or an elevated threat, to American travelers to any given area. Not to be taken personally. It is not a comparison or a suggestion that the Europe is 'more' dangerous etc. It is simply policy.

IMO a travel warning for "Europe" is a bit silly. In case they have evidence for another attack, it it would be helpful if they could be a bit more specific.

In general: I'm still not particularly worried about becoming a victim of a terrorist attack in Europe.

Edit: sheesh... autocorrect doesn't like me today...

Lots of Government offer advice, here's UK Foreign Ofiice advice in relation to 225 Countries. They usually warn of terrorist and other threats so the Civil Service and Government can cover themselves should anything happen, and they can point out that you were warned.

Europe sounds a little silly. They should be more specific.
Even with the recent attack in Stockholm Sweden is still safe, for example.

The US Embassy in Copenhagen has posted no warnings.
