For example the former West/East Germany still feels divided culturally and economically former West Germany is home to a more diverse/younger population and more liberal in contrast to former East Germany excluding Berlin which is home to a more homogenous/older population and tended to vote for the AFD in both the 17 and less slightly the 2021 elections.
