The reason people want a Ferrari is usually for the prestige. The other reason is that they want to acquire something that they always wanted.
As for the attention, you would be shocked. I am not that type of person but I have seen woman go nuts if done right. The way most of these men that buy these cars for the woman use it is by going to clubs and parking out front. Just makes me laugh to watch but it does work if the man has a personality.

it is funny that these guys spend that amount to try to hook up with someone at a club funny thing is they don't know much about the car like the optional carbon fiber brakes for 20K
The truth is, especially in today's economy, many of the real "car people" who own Ferraris and other exotics are pretty quiet about it. Drawing attention to one's wealth, real or perceived, is very out of fashion in some areas.

Exactly. Only the posers show off their Ferraris. You know, the football stars in their automatic Ferraris with 20" bling rims on em.... those types of strokes.

Although many Ferrari's come with factory 19" wheels, I've seen several cars with aftermarket 20" wheels that were drop dead gorgeous.
Some aftermarket wheels, on Ferraris or any other car, look great. Some are just ridiculous.
Here in south Florida, there are places that have rent-to-own "bling" wheels. And tires. RENT-TO-OWN TIRES?
Just another sign of folks with some pretty serious issues prioritizing.
People who buy a preowned Ferrari with a high mileage are pretending to be rich yet they don't are. Ferrari and Lambo are exclusive cars for those who can pay it right at the dealer. There's no point on doing otherwise. Anyway, the maintenace is so expensive that the buyer would be reselling it or going broke in a few years
