1,800 square foot home. We have a programmable thermostat. We have it set to 64 during the night, 67 while we are getting ready in the morning, 64 while we are gone during the day at work, and then back up to 67 in the evening while we are home. Sometimes we'll bump it up to 69 in the evenings. If we leave for an overnight trip or longer, I'll drop it down to 62 while we are gone.

I like it about 62-degrees and 55 when I'm sleeping or at work but other people like it about 72, which is just ridiculous. And at about 1600^2 that's enough to pi55 a body off.

I dislike being cold, and I'm not going to skimp on something as basic as heat. I keep the thermometer anywhere I damn well please.

I keep our monitor at 66. When the Mrs comes down from Anchorage she sets it at 68 and sometimes I catch her having it set at 70!

I think the ceiling fan makes a breeze and it makes her cold.

our bedrooms are colder than the thermostat, so we keep ours at 71F. The rooms are in the 60s though.

1600 sq. ft....

Glad to see these numbers. I had a secret fear that people up there kept their homes at around 55 to save on fuel costs, as I see lots of threads about the high cost of heat.

68 and only a 700 sq. ft. cabin. Sometimes for showers I'll knock it up to 70 though.
