Anyone have any information on the current house market conditions in Fargo? Are home sales and prices declining such as other areas in the U.S? Does anyone have any idea on where to find current market trends and conditions in Fargo?
Prices seem to not have really been affected too much like other areas here. Seen similar houses to the one we have, same neighborhood selling for about 10K more than we paid on ours 2 years ago, with 1 bedroom less. I think a lot of the housing bust issue in other areas is more localized based on how crazy housing went up in there area. Fargo didn't seem to go too nuts as like in Florida where my sister lives.
You could try getting the info you need by looking at the asking price of housing in the area as well as the inventory on various websites, etc. You would need however to be able to compare it to previous data to get a clear picture of what is going on.
But just from my local perspective, houses don't linger on the market like I am hearing in other areas of the country.
I don't know about the number of sales, but I don't think prices have declined at all. See the third graph on this link, it shows that the median sales price in Fargo has continued to rise: Housing Market - City of Fargo
