I just bought a bunch of ELF for a buck each at Target and very impressed with the value and product. I purchased, brushes, eye shadow primer, lip glosses, lipsticks, liquid eyeliners, a dual magnified mirror, concealer, bronzing powder, false eyelashes
have any of you used ELF and what do you like or dislike
A while back I bought some eyeshadow and it was very shiny, full of mica. When you are a little older, matte is better -- the shiny stuff just exacerbated every little imperfection for me.
Quality wise, it was pretty good, other than that.

funny you should mention this. I read on Beatipedia.com that there eyeshadow was rated poor.. I did not buy any eyeshadows...... thank you for you feedback xo
I was not impressed by the makeup. The lip colors that I used felt too slick/slippery and I did not like the feel or taste of the glaze that can be worn over the lip color to produce a shine. Also, the lip color didn't last very long. The eye shadows were too shimmery and a bit too pale.
The only thing that I liked were the make up brushes.
.
I absolutely love ELF cosmetics! Anything marked $1 and in the cosmetics department just screams "Buy me! Buy me!" lol I also like that they don't test on animals
So far my favorite ELF product is a waterproof felt tip eyeliner pen. I got it for a little over a dollar, and it honestly is waterproof and smudge-proof! It comes in a variety of colors too.
I find their makeup to be horribly cheap, even by DS standards, but their brushes are all right. I like the studio powder brush for setting powder, and the stippling brush for my pigmented blushes.
My daughter likes the ELF stuff. At her age, she's just decorating her face, not trying to conceal anything. She likes the powder sheets (for oily noses). I use the liquid eyeliners, but their concealer and eyeshadow doesn't do anything for me.
Stick with the studio brushes. I like them quite a bit.
Other things I liked:
blushes - studio and regular ( I don't glob it on so the natural sheerness works perfectly)
all in one conceal stick - nice for light makeup or for all over primer to have mineral makeup stick to
studio eyeshadows - they look nice but some colors fade fast. I prefer mineral eyeshadows or ones from wet and wild for bargain stuff.
complexion perfection powder (studio)- nice sheer setting powder in 4 corrective colors. You can swirl them all togther or use the color you need to cancel out unflattering tones in you skin. (sallow, redness etc)
