I live in Florida where it is very HOT year round. I cannot find LONGER shorts in my size. Sorry, Granny is not gong to wear short, shorts at my age in my size range. Missy sizes are not much better. What size would I be in that? Size 000? Hello, Garment Industry? Not ALL Seniors are Plus Sizes.

I am ready to give up entirely on shorts and just buy Sundresses, which despite my 100 lb. weight, I am a 32DD bra size. ANOTHER problem.

How's this for an idea. Could you buy slacks or capris and have them altered to the length you like? I agree it's a problem . . . seems as though much that is suitable style-wise for our age group is either enormous or matronly. Good luck!

What about shopping in the kids department? My grandma was very slim, and she bought most of her clothes in the kids department. You'll find longer shorts there than you will in the juniors section.

If you're looking for things that are more upscale than that, Talbots has a size 0 Petite which has a 24.5" waist according to their size charts. Here's some shorts that look nice and long. Talbots - 9" Twill Shorts | Shorts | Petites Or try Gap or Ann Taylor...they'll have some short shorts but they've got some longer ones too and they have small sizes.

I still look in kids dept. (I'm small as well) - sadly, kids clothes (shorts especially!) have gone the way of "current trend" which appears to be super short shorts as well as ONLY skinny leg pants

Lands End? Their clothes are conservative.

Find what you like and have it tailored or learn to sew and make your own.
